East Devon constituency may lose part of Exeter and gain Exe Valley in controversial plans

The East Devon constituency is set to lose part of Exeter (St Loyes) and instead gain Exe Valley in new proposals published today by the Boundary Commission.
But controversially, the Boundary Commission is also proposing to axe the number of MPs to 501. A move fiercely opposed by both the Tories and Labour MPs.
It has been reported that ministers have asked the Boundary Commission to go away and redo the review on the basis of retaining all 650 current MPs.
