More fly-tipping ... this time at Aylesbeare

Saturday, 14 May 2011 0 Comments by Claire

A pile of tyres have been dumped at Aylesbeare earlier this week.

Around 20 tyres were found in Blind Lane, opposite the pub in the village.

I have reported the illegal fly-tipping incident to Streetscene, East Devon District Council’s clean up service.  It is one of several instances of fly-tipping since the rural skip was removed from the Land of Canaan Car Park, as well as the decision by Devon County Council to introduce charges at Woods Farm Recyling Centre.

Streetscene have assured me that they are keeping an eye on the fly-tipping situation which will help establish whether the above moves have really served to save money after all.
